WSA
Unique combination of the "hard" and the "soft"
Work Style Analyser is a method of investigating working style, which combines the advantages of a "hard" questionnaire testing with individual coaching. Work Style Analyser test plus individual meeting with a consultant is what we sometimes call "a multilateral mirror". We analyse its results combining the participants' preferences concerning: - Working style - managerial skills, interpersonal and cognitive skills as well as the approach to task completion - Motivation - Most frequently adopted roles in a team - Attitude to changes and preferred learning style
WSA was created as a result of a 4-year research project conducted by British consultants.
We are the only Polish company with a licence for using this tool.
What is WSA?
Work Style Analyser is not a "usual" psychometric tool. We discovered it when we underwent such testing ourselves as a training team. Then we expanded our knowledge on WSA during the few days of certifying workshops. Finally we applied this tool in development projects for many companies, including PKN Orlen, Siemens, Software Mind, Enersys or IKEA.
The uniqueness of WSA lies in the fact that it is a large inventory of information about the interviewed person - not about his/her personality but about preferences. In this context WSA does not distinguish between "good" and "bad" results. Preferences are presented during the questionnaire completion - the interviewed person must choose one statement from among a pair of sentences. Discovering this knowledge together with the consultant, evaluating it in the context of work and private life is a fascinating insight into oneself.
What could be the application of WSA? In our projects we use WSA as an introduction to human development processes in organisations; in order to raise the participants' self-awareness and to inspire them to reflect on their own working style and to create a relationship with the coaches. WSA is also used as:
- an element supporting team building - introduction to Coaching and Counselling - a tool for recruitment and employee selection
The results of the questionnaire are discussed together with the consultant; the participant is involved in creating the interpretation. You can say that the questionnaire is just an "excuse" for a meeting which is similar in assumptions to individual coaching. What is most important during such a meeting is the reflections of the interviewed person, which arise when the consultant asks his questions. WSA together with common interpretation of results is something more than just coaching. WSA allows you to reach solutions quite quickly, whereas in the process of Coaching it takes up much more time.
